Rumours are starting to emerge about Tokio Hotel’s involvement in the 2009 MTV EMAs in Berlin, which will be part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. Some sources have stated that they’ll be doing the opening performance of the show, while others say they’ll be performing a song about the fall of the wall.

This would make sense, seeing how Tokio Hotel are one of Germany’s most popular bands (if not the most popular) and the twins were born in 1989, just over 2 months before the destruction fo the wall. GreatSong.net has posted a list of their most awaited albums of 2009 and Tokio Hotel’s is listed. They give a release date of March 30th, 2009 for the album and although nothing has been officially said yet, it seems very possible to me.
